A gorgeous spring!

It has been an unbelievable spring, in particular May/June. Summer weather almost, blue skies day after day. I'm spending lots of time at the gym, biking, gardening and wait for it....scrapping. So a few more layouts got done this week:

I actually used Ashley Horton's layout as inspiration since hers just seemed to jump out at me.

A little catching up to do...

I've done a bit of scrapping since Whistler...just not blogging. Though really this isn't a real blog...more like throw my layouts on and move on. But anyways, here's a few more:

I did a 10 page "use your own product" class through my LSS Scrapbookin' Adventures. You are given instructions on putting together kits using your own product, then attend the class, and make your own with guidance from the instructor and the samples. Good way to use up some stash. They may be in order from 11-1 (they always throw in a bonus one)....but I'm not organized enough or motivated enough to put them from 1-11 on here.

A weekend in Whistler!!

Just spent the last weekend in Whistler holed up in a condo with 4 other women, a stack of movies, candy, chocolate, alcohol, good conversation, laughter, and of course tons of scrapping time. 4 of us took a break from 2:30 or 3:30 am until 9am. But one of our friends...2 hours of sleep each night, wow! Other then hitting the hot tub Saturday evening, and standing on our deck watching a bear meander down the ski hill....we stayed in and scrapped. Other times we have stepped out for a few hours at a time, walking, window shopping ect, but this time everyone was happy to stay put. I didn't mind since my walking tolerance is from the door to the elevator these days. So that many scrapping hours meant lots of layouts done! Also being {inter}National Scrapbooking Day on the Saturday, we had lots of challenges to keep us motivated. We even did a round of challenges where we gave each other a challenge hitting some of our 'weaker' areas. Whether it was use 4 pattern paper on a layout for the cardstock loving scrapper, or cardstock only for the pattern paper lover (me), or using circles for the clean and simple scrapper, or using a sketch for the non-sketch user, to lastly using stuff on your layout with the letters "whistler" (white cardstock, h-, ink, stickers, twine ect...see I couldn't even come up with a h thing...good thing that wasn't my challenge)...anyways we made it a fun day...and weekend!
